Enter The Simulation Again With The Matrix Resurrections First Trailer!

It’s nearly time to go back down the rabbit hole as Warner Bros release the official first UK Trailer for The Matrix Resurrections. Are you ready to enter the simulation again? It’s your choice…time to fly!

We’ve for a while now a fourth film was on the cards, what, who, when and why has been debated for a long time. Whatever your opinion on this sequel is a personal choice, this Christmas that film will be in our cinemas.

Keanu Reeves is returning as Neo with Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity the pair reuniting with Lana Wachowski directing this one. The burning question can this film reignite the cult status of the original 1999 film? This trailer is certainly full of homages to the original which will bring a smile to fans faces.

From what we can see from the promo Neo and Trinity seem to have forgotten each other. They also seem to get sporadic flashes of their former lives, what has happened? Neo/Thomas Anderson seems to be back in both worlds and with a lot of new younger characters the concept and ideas of the original are passed to them, resurrected. Is that a new Morpheus? There’s a lot going on here and it’s got us intrigued to see how this one pans out…

From visionary filmmaker Lana Wachowski comes “The Matrix Resurrections,” the long-awaited fourth film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. The new film reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they made famous, Neo and Trinity.

The cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, and Eréndira Ibarra. It’s not all newcomers to the cast Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe), Lambert Wilson (The Merovingian), and Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnson) all welcomed back.

The Matrix Resurrections will arrive in UK and Irish as well as U.S cinemas from 22nd December.
