‘There coming to get you Barbara!‘ Revisit George A. Romero’s 1968 horror classic in an altogether unprecedented presentation as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases Night of the Animated Dead, a new, star-studded animated recreation of the thriller coming next month.
Romero’s legendary film is seen by many as the birth of the modern zombie film/TV Show. With this film the likes of The Walking Dead, Shaun Of The Dead, 28 Days Later, Z Nation to name a few. Of course Dawn Of The Dead and Day Of The Dead the follow up sequels.
So what’s the set up for this one ? Johnny and Barbara visit their father’s grave in a in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania. Only to find themselves fleeing from Zombies. Barbara is able to escape to a nearby farmhouse with other survivors which sees them all facing their fears and prejudices.

In Night of the Animated Dead, siblings Barbara and Johnny visit their father’s grave in a remote cemetery in Pennsylvania when they are suddenly set upon by zombies. Barbara flees and takes refuge in an abandoned farmhouse along with stranded motorist Ben and four local survivors found hiding in the cellar. Together, the group must fight to stay alive against the oncoming horde of zombies while also confronting their own fears and prejudices.
The voice cast includes Josh Duhamel as Harry Cooper, Dulé Hill as Ben, Katharine Isabelle as Barbara, James Roday Rodriguez as Tom They are joined by Katee Sackhoff as Judy, Will Sasso as Sheriff McClelland, Jimmi Simpson as Johnny and Nancy Travis as Helen Cooper.
