Guess who’s coming to dinner? Could it be a vampire? Bulldog Film Distribution release the UK Trailer for the atmospheric horror Climate Of The Hunter.

This film caught our attention back in December of last year after, before then making it’s debut at 2019 Fantasia Fest. Now the film is coming to the UK, Mickey Reece‘s film delivering a twist on the vampire genre. Mixing 1970’s Euro Horror Daughters Of Darkness with claustrophobic gothic atmosphere tinged eroticism. It’s got a lo-fi arthouse charm we love.

This film we see two sisters who vie for the affections of their guest. However the stranger they are falling for might just be a vampire…

Two sisters, Alma and Elizabeth, along with a dog who’s described as a “philosopher,” have come to Alma’s remote house to reconnect with Wesley after twenty years. Alma is recently divorced, Elizabeth is a workaholic in Washington, D.C., while Wesley lives in Paris dealing with a wife recently struck with a fatal disease. When the three come together for dinner it has all the makings of a lovely adult melodrama about loneliness, and the desire to connect and share our lives with someone… but we must add to the mix one otherworldly piece of information: Wesley could be a vampire.

CLIMATE OF THE HUNTER is a strikingly stylish and idiosyncratic slow-burner from prolific cult filmmaker Mickey Reece with a beautifully claustrophobic gothic atmosphere and quality performances across an ensemble cast including Mary Buss, Ginger Gilmartin and Ben Hall.

The film stars Ginger Gilmartin, Mary Buss, Ben Hall, and Jacob Ryan Snovel.

Climate Of The Hunter will be released in select cinemas on Friday 13rd August, before arriving on digital platforms to rent and download-to-own from Monday 23rd August.
