Netflix Unveil First Trailer For The Witcher Season 2!

Geralt’s Journey Home To be big part of new season, A whole host of Goodies revealed including Anime Spin-off Teaser

The world is changing and Netflix tonight opened the door once again with a glimpse back into the Continent. With release of the Official Teaser Trailer for The Witcher Season 2 teasing Geralt’s Journey Home to Kaer Morhen playing a pivotal part of the new season.

Today saw the launch of the first ever virtual fan event WitcherCon dedicated all things connected to the franchise. The most important detail we learned today is that the much anticipated Season Two will arrive on the channel on 17th December .

At the end of the debut season Witcher Geralt (Henry Cavill) and Ciri (Freya Allan) finally united. The pair go on that dangerous journey to the one place Geralt finds safe Kaer Morhean. As the world’s population strive for supremacy he can protect the princess as she learns to understand the great power within her…

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

Returning cast will be Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Tom Canton, Lilly Cooper, Jeremy Crawford, Eamon Farren, Mahesh Jadu, Terence Maynard, Lars Mikkelsen, Mimî M Khayisa, Royce Pierreson, Wilson Mbomio, Anna Shaffer, and Therica Wilson-Read.

Joining them Graham McTavish as Dijkstra. , Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh, Chris Fulton as Rience. Simon Callow as Codringher,  Liz Carr will play Fenn. Cassie Clare as Phillippa Eilhart, and Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian.  Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Born as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Mecia Simson as Francesca, and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.

17th December is still over 5 months away and next month, 23rd August The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf will be released. The first of the franchises many upcoming spin-offs, the full length anime prequel that leads up to the  event of the live action  series.

Before Geralt, there was Vesemir — a cocky young witcher who delights in slaying monsters for coin. When a dangerous new power rises on the Continent, Vesemir learns that some witchering jobs are about more than just money

Very little is known about The Nightmare Of The Wolf and likewise much of the Continent outside what we saw in Season One. ‘Face Your Demons‘ what and who will face the demons? Will this film be the missing piece of the jigsaw that links the other spin-off The Witcher: Blood Origin which is set 1,900 before the main series?

Vesemir will be that character facing the demons and will be voiced by Kim Bodina. Could we be about to see the main origins story of all The Witchers?
