Review

Super 8 was first released in 2011 and is set in the summer of 1979, which may explain why it is ageing well. It is as good today, as it was 10 years ago, but with the added bonus that you can watch this film in 4K Ultra HD.

The film is so sharp, you are experiencing the train crash as it happens, I think I held my breath for the entire scene and was quite as shocked as the kids were! So much detail, with sharp crisp images, is exactly how J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg wanted you to experience it!

This non-stop action film is a true classic with scenes that will make you scream, make you jump from the suspense, you know it is coming but it makes you jump all the same and an element of teenage love in the middle of an alien attack (or rather a military attack!)

The children are brilliant actors, each one of them playing their role to such talent that they draw you in and you become part of their gang, wanting to be a part of the movie they are making, feeling the emotions with Joe Lamb, who has recently lost his mother, and rooting for all of them to get through the night alive.

A great family movie made better with the remastered 4K Blu-Ray option.

Super 8 is available on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray™ now.
