Today in the UK and Ireland Oscar nominated Minari is released digitally starring Steven Yeun. Steven will always be know as Glenn Rhee one of the original cast members of The Walking Dead, since his departure from the show his career has elevated. Burning, Sorry To Bother You, Minari all critically acclaimed films and now it seems he could be set to star in Jordan Peele‘s new film.
Deadline exclusively reports Yeun might be set up to play one of the lead male roles along side Keke Palmer. He could also be joined by fellow Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya whom the report states is in talks to star in the film too.
Not much is known about Peele‘s untitled film which we know will be a ‘thriller’. Will be distributed by Universal Pictures with the filmmaker producing the film with Ian Cooper via Monkeypaw Productions.

What is known from this untitled project Kaluuya and Palmer possibly will possibly play siblings. Like many things this is only a rumour things change and when it comes to Jordan Peele films expect the unexpected. Rightly so those plot details are still under wraps after the Get Out and US we eagerly wait.
Yeun was much loved at The Walking Dead and his screen death was considered by many as heartbreaking. It’s considered by some as the turning point of that show, however if you know the comic books it was his character’s death. Yeun and Peele are no strangers as the American Korean actor has starred in a episode of the recently rebooted Twilight Zone. He’s also a voice on Amazon Prime‘s Invincible animated series and has recently just signed up to Netflix dramedy Beef with Ali Wong. He also finished working on A24 series Humans along side Richard Jenkins and Beanie Feldstein.
For now we can only guess what this film might be about or what roles Yeun will play in it. Universal Pictures have set a July 2022 release date, so don’t expect any snippets of info on it for a long time.
