In End Of Sentence UK Trailer John Hawkes, Logan Lerman Journey Is ‘life-changing’

Sometimes a wrong turn can get you to the right place. In upcoming indie End Of Sentence  John Hawkes, Logan Lerman, Journey from America’s Heartland to the Emerald Isle. Blue Finch Film Releasing have sent us the film’s official UK Trailer, that journey will be ‘life changing’.

The film officially made it’s world premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival in 2019. The father son relationship is also the directorial feature debut for Icelandic filmmaker Elfar Adalsteins. In this one Hawkes plays Frank recently widowed reluctantly honours his dead wife by taking her ashes and scattering them on a lake in Ireland. He must also promise to their son Sean (Lerman) turning the   road trip into something both never expected.

Our pasts always come back to bite us in the backside , sometimes it’s better to face those issues face on.

After being widowed, Frank Fogle (Hawkes) reluctantly embarks on a journey to honour his wife’s last wish of spreading her ashes in a remote lake in Ireland and a promise of taking his estranged son Sean (Lerman) along for the trip. As Sean steps out of prison the last thing on his mind is a foreign road trip with his alienated father when what he needs is a fresh start in California…

After his travel plans collapse, he reluctantly accepts his father’s proposal in return for a ticket to the West Coast and a promise that they never have to see each other again. Between a disconcerting Irish wake, the surfacing of an old flame, the pick-up of a pretty hitchhiker (Bolger) and plenty of unresolved issues, the journey becomes a little more than either the father or son had bargained for.

Unfolding across the stunning landscape of Ireland, End of Sentence is a hilarious and touching father and son road-trip from director Elfar Adalsteins that premiered to acclaim at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The film also stars Sarah Bolger and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. Blue Finch Film Releasing will release End of Sentence on digital download in the UK and Ireland from 10th May.
