Peccadillo Pictures have released the UK Trailer for Samuel Van Grinsven’s stylish debut feature Sequin In A Blue Room. The LGBQT Thriller is an uncompromising exploration of sex and social media.
This intense energetic coming-of-age tale features Conor Leach, who plays the teenager Sequin. A young man exploring his sexuality through an obsession with anonymous, no-strings sexual encounters… Until he enters the Blue Room.
The film won the Audience Award for Best Feature at the Sydney Film Festival and has played to wide acclaim around the world, including Outfest and Toronto International Film Festival.
After a chance encounter at an anonymous sex party, a sixteen year old boy hunts through the world of a hook-up app to track down the mystery man. Favouring the instant gratification of anonymous, no-strings sexual encounters over meaningful relationships, high schooler Sequin is part of the always logged-on, but never-engaged, hook-up generation. He ghosts ex-partners and remains emotionally unavailable. That’s until he finds his way to an anonymous sex party, where a whole new dizzyingly alluring world unfolds before him. In one scene, Sequin connects with a mysterious stranger, but they are separated suddenly. Utterly fixated on this man, Sequin sets off on an exhilarating and perilous mission to track him down.
The film also Simon Croker, Jeremy, and Damian De Montemas.
Sequin in a Blue Room is released via Peccadillo Pictures on UK/Ireland as well as North America on digital platforms from 9th April.
