101 Films will be getting medieval and punk rock with their releases in the next couple of months. The indie distributor have announced they will release Jordan Downey’s medieval horror The Head Hunter in April. In May will be part insane road-trip comedy, part rock concert, part unimaginable gore-fest, Uncle Peckerhead.
First up on 12th April will The Head Hunter Jordan Downey’s atmospheric fantasy horror. A film that proves you don’t always need big money to deliver an effective film. Story of father who hunts monsters, collecting their heads as trophies. His next target gets personal, it’s the monster that killed his daughter.
On the outskirts of a kingdom, in the shadows of a looming castle, a quiet but fierce medieval warrior protects the realm from monsters. The gruesome collection of trophy heads on the wall of his cabin is missing only one – the monster that killed his daughter. He travels wild expanses on horseback, driven by a thirst for revenge. When his chance for vengeance arrives, it’s in a way far more horrifying than he ever imagined.

On 3rd of May Uncle Peckerhead will be released which has midnight movie written all over its bloody mangled corpse. the comedy horror of a punk rock band embarking on their first tour, however they need a tour van and driver. That comes in the shape of red neck Peckerhead, who does have a secret, if he doesn’t get his medicines before midnight he turns into a cannibalistic monster!
Punk outfit DUH are about to embark on their first tour in preparation for a big hometown show. Only problem is they don’t have any wheels. Luckily, they run into a nice southern redneck, Peckerhead or “Peck” to his friends, who just happens to live in a 15-passenger van. He is more than happy to be their roadie and merch guy if they throw him a few bucks and cover gas. What could be the harm? However, Peck has a secret he is keeping: if he doesn’t take his medicine before midnight, he turns into a cannibalistic monster.
