Your safe now‘…Enter The Grishaverse as Netflix release the new second official Trailer for Shadow And Bone. Ahead of it’s launch later this month on the streaming channel, this 3 minute promo focuses on Alina Starkov’s newly found powers.

Whilst Disney+ say they will become the number one streaming channel, Netflix has the success of many recent series. House of mouse may have the success in film, the streaming giants know how to deliver the binge factor with the likes of The Witcher, Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Orange In The New Black, The Queen’s Gambit to name a few. Shadow And Bone based on Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling Grishaverse novels looks potentially the next big thing on the channel.

The main protagonist of this one is Alina (Jessie Mei Li) a lowly soldier and mapmaker who suddenly finds she has great powers. She joins a army of people of similar powers.

Based on Leigh Bardugo’s worldwide bestselling Grishaverse novels, Shadow and Bone finds us in a war-torn world where lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov has just unleashed an extraordinary power that could be the key to setting her country free. With the monstrous threat of the Shadow Fold looming, Alina is torn from everything she knows to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as Grisha. But as she struggles to hone her power, she finds that allies and enemies can be one and the same and that nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. There are dangerous forces at play, including a crew of charismatic criminals, and it will take more than magic to survive.

Shadow And Bone will premiere globally on Netflix on 23 April 2021.
