Universal Pictures has officially released the first look image for Ridley Scott‘s House Of Gucci. The film has being filming in Italy the past few weeks starring Adam Driver and Lady Gaga.
Yesterday several images of the set were leaked online thanks to onlookers and in an attempt to prevent more leaked images, Universal release an official Image. The image itself may not reveal much apart from Driver (playing Maurizio Gucci) and Gaga (playing Patrizia Reggiani) ready to go ‘off-piste’. Fashion wise the pair are dolled up with the very best for the era (1990’s).
the film is adapted from the book written by Sara Gay Forden called The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story Of Murder, Madness, Glamour And Greed. The film is based around the 1995 murder of Maurizio Gucci (Driver), the grandson of founder of the famed fashion house Guccio Gucci. Lady Gaga stars as Maurizio’s ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was tried and convicted for arranging her ex-husband’s assassination. from this she gained the nickname the Black Widow and was sentenced serving 18 years before being released from prison in 2016.
The film marks Lady Gaga’s return to front of the camera, the first time since the 2018 A Star Is Born remake with Bradley Cooper.
The film cast also includes Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, Jack Huston and Reeve Carney. No release date has been confirmed by Universal Pictures, the date of 24th November in cinemas has been mentioned.
