OK, yes this is the latest film from the man behind the Resident Evil franchise Paul WS Anderon . That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy nor does it mean he can’t create something entertaining either. This is dumb fun at the highest order in dire times we need a distraction, this could provide it. Big Swords, even bigger monsters!
Monster Hunter sees Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her team transported into the world where monsters rule thanks to a freak sandstorm. With the help of a local hunter (Tony Jaa), the team must defeat the monsters to escape.

Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown.

Monster Hunter still doesn’t have a confirmed UK and Irish release date, just ‘coming soon 2021’.
