First Look At Aardman’s Robin Robin Netflix Musical Special

Today Netflix and Aardman announced the voice cast for upcoming stop-animation musical holiday special, Robin Robin, which is currently in production at Aardman’s award-winning studio in the UK and will debut on Netflix in time for the holidays in 2021. Golden Globe® winner Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Oscar® nominee Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) lead the cast which also includes Bronte Carmichael (Christopher Robin) and Adeel Akhtar (Enola Holmes).

Here’s the film’s synopsis…
When her egg fortuitously rolls into a rubbish dump, Robin is raised by a loving family of mice. As she grows up, her differences become more apparent. Robin sets off on the heist to end all heists to prove to her family that she can be a really good mouse – but ends up discovering who she really is.

Anderson is set to play the film’s villain, the cat with Grant set to be the Magpie, the Robin’s mentor. This film project mark’s the studio that gave us Wallace & Gromit first project with the streaming giants. It also marks the end of the long running relationship Aardman have had with the BBC too.

Aardman Animation‘s Robin Robin is set for release on Netflix will be released Christmas 2021.
