First Look At Robert Rodriguez’s We Can Be Heroes

Robert Rodriguez might be a filmmaker known for Sin City, Machete and Grindhouse, ionically a director known for his family films. The Spy Kids franchise as well as The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, in January he’s returning to the Sharkboy and Lavagirl world.

Some are calling this one a sequel of sorts, We Can Be Heroes. The  upcoming Netflix family adventure is set in that particular film’s world. Starring YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Christopher McDonald and Adriana Barraza.

The film follows a group of young kids with superpowers, however they haven’t discovered there full potential. They must quickly learn those powers when aliens kidnap Earth’s superheroes and save the world.

Spy Kids was an unexpected minor hit for Rodriguez, Sharkboy and Lavagirl was too in many ways. If this one captures what made those films an success, this one will be too.

We Can Be Heroes will launch globally exclusively on Netflix from 1st January 2021.
