The official Trailer for Finding Jack Charlton has been released and it’s an emotionally charged one.

There’s not many great Englishmen you can say where also legends and move loved in Ireland, A freeman of Dublin . Not forgetting a world cup winner, Jack Charlton was that man. He helped shape Ireland’s most successful era on the international scene, a great steward of the game.

Filmed during the last 18 months of Jack Charlton‘s life and detailing his previously undocumented life with dementia, the film is a uniquely emotional insight into the life and career of a sporting legend.

FINDING JACK CHARLTON is the definitive portrait of an extraordinary man; an English World Cup winning legend, who became an Irish hero. Directed by Gabriel Clarke (Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager; Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans) and Pete Thomas (Take His Legs), and shot on location in Ireland and England, the film also details Jack’s previously undocumented life with dementia.

The documentary features key characters from throughout Jack’s career, including major figures in football, music, film, politics, and, for the first time, Jack’s family. These personal perspectives, along with previously unseen archive, are an intimate window into Jack’s charismatic personality, his managerial philosophy and offer a new level of understanding into FINDING JACK CHARLTON.

Contributors include former players Andy Townsend, Paul McGrath, Niall Quinn, David O’Leary and Packie Bonner, U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr., politician Bertie Ahern, comedian Brendan O’Carroll and more.

Finding Jack Charlton is coming to UK and Irish cinemas on 6th November. Then on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from 23rd November, 2020.
