Yes folks, Borat is back! We’ve known for a while Kazakhstan’s greatest ever fictional journalist was getting his second film. Today we get a look at Borat 2 Official Trailer or should I say “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.“
There was rumours Sacha Baron Cohen was making a long awaited sequel to the fictitious 2006 documentary Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. As the gossip appeared online, the British actor actually secretly shot the film. The question was who will release the film?
The film originally owned by 20th Century Studios now part of Disney. As the house of Mouse is a family friendly studio, Borat is certainly not PC. Amazon Studios picked up the distribution rights and later this month it will premiere on Amazon Prime!
So what can we expect in this one? Silly question! Plenty of Un-PC humour, pokes at Covid-19, all naughty but in theses dark, confusing days we need a laugh. This one certainly looks like it could match some of the unexpected success of the first film.
For Borat 2, he heads back to ‘Yankee Land’ (USA) accompanied by his daughter (Irina Nowak) who he has brought with him, with the intention of marrying her off to someone “close to the throne”.
Crazy shit will happen and if the rumours are true, he had to wear a bulletproof vest to film some scenes!…I like!
