Watch First Trailer For Stephen King’s The Stand Series Remake

Don’t fear the reaper and watch the First Trailer for the TV remake of Stephen King‘s The Stand. Good versus evil will return just before Christmas as CBS Access All Areas reveals a creepy short Trailer that will get under your skin.

Six months into a global pandemic with no end in sight, who would think the book Stephen King wrote 42 years ago would resonate in 2020!? Some would say we’re living the pages of King’s post apocalyptic novel.

The Stand takes place in a world decimated by a plagued and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil.  Whoopi Goldberg plays Mother Abigail, the 108 year old woman whose fate of the survivors lie in her hands. The Dark Man  aka Randall Flagg will be played by Alexander Skarsgård.

The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail (Whoopi Goldberg) and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard) the Dark Man.

The rest of the cast includes James Marsden as Stu Redman, Odessa Young as Frannie Goldsmith, Jovan Adepo as Larry Underwood, Amber Heard as Nadine Cross, Owen Teague as Harold Lauder, Henry Zaga as Nick Andros, Brad William Henke as Tom Cullen, Irene Bedard as Ray Bretner, Nat Wolff as Lloyd Henreid, Eion Bailey as Weizak, Heather Graham as Rita Blakemoor, Katherine McNamara as Julie Lawry, Fiona Dourif as Ratwoman, Natalie Martinez as Dayna Jurgens, Hamish Linklater as Dr. Jim Ellis, Daniel Sunjata as Cobb and Greg Kinnear as Glen Bateman.

There is no word on what UK channel will show this (and when). CBS Access All Areas are set to premiere The Stand Limited Series in the U.S from Thursday 17th December, with episodes every week after that.
