To many people when you mention Kurt Wallander on Television we automatically think of Kenneth Branagh here in the UK. Before Sir Ken, Wallander was already establish TV and film character with Krister Henriksson (TV) and Rolf Lassgård Film version from 1994 until 2007.
Now Netflix will take us back to when Kurt was a young whippersnapper in his twenties and still an naive uniformed Policeman. Plagued by guilt when he’s unable to save a young teen from a gruesome attack. The series promises to showcase the formative years of the Popular Swedish police officer.

Based on the best selling Kurt Wallander novels by Henning Mankell, a modern reimagining of the legendary detective, Kurt Wallander, who must navigate the increasingly violent environment of present-day Sweden. When he is unable to save a teenager from a gruesome attack, Wallander must learn to cope with his guilt in order to solve the crime. The story focuses on the formative experiences – professional and personal – faced by Kurt as a recently graduated police officer in his early twenties.
The English-language drama series is told over six serialised episodes and features both British and Swedish cast. No more details on who will also be in the cast
