The Danish actor reuniting with The Hunt director,this time seems to be all about an experiment in alcohol. Originally set for it’s World Premiere at Cannes Film Festival, now set to appear in film festivals fortunate to run.
Druk (the film’s Danish title), focuses on four longtime friends, all school teachers, all love alcohol. The foursome decide to take part in an experiment where they each of them sustain a certain level of alcohol intoxication during their everyday life. First the experiment is going well, as they continue things take a turn for the worst.
Mads Mikkelsen personally one of those actors who has such a great range, at times under appreciated. Great as a lead actor, also as a villain, unhinged person, a comedic role or even horror role. His last film proved his talents, the highly underrated Arctic. The Hunt is considered one of his best.

The film centers on four friends – all high school teachers – who test a theory that they will work and live better by maintaining a constant level of alcohol in their blood. Their initial results are positive with classes and results improving; however, as they continue the experiment the results become more extreme.
The film also stars Thomas Bo Larsen, Lars Ranthe, Magnus Millang and Maria Bonnevie.
There’s no exact UK or Irish release date just yet. However we do know Studiocanal picked up the rights for Another Round, so expect the film sometime 2020/ early 2021. There is no USA distributor just yet.
