Joseph Gordon-Levitt Vs Hijackers In The 7500 Trailer

Brace for impact as Amazon Studios unearth the Official Trailer for Thriller 7500. Turbulence in the plane as Joseph Gordon-Levitt takes on hijackers in a race against time.

The film’s name may sound familiar, as it shares a similar name to Shimizu Takashi’s 2014 film Flight 7500. The only connection to both films their in airplanes and in the air.

Gordon-Levitt plays Tobias a young American pilot who thought he was on another normal day at work. Flying on a flight from Berlin to Paris. After take off chaos roams the plane when hijackers try to take hostage of the plane. Trapped in the cockpit unable to open the door Tobias must try land safely when all crew and passengers lives are under threat.

It looks like alot of the action is witnessed from the cockpit. A nice twist, and we see what happens through the cockpit security camera. Even with potential  reopening dates for cinemas next month, this one has taken the online option rather than the big screen. Which might just be a wise move…

It looks like a routine day at work for Tobias, a soft-spoken young American co-pilot on a flight from Berlin to Paris as he runs through the preflight checklist with Michael, the pilot, and chats with Gökce, his flight-attendant girlfriend. But shortly after takeoff, terrorists armed with makeshift knives suddenly storm the cockpit, seriously wounding Michael and slashing Tobias’ arm. Temporarily managing to fend off the attackers, a terrified Tobias contacts ground control to plan an emergency landing. But when the hijackers kill a passenger and threaten to murder more innocent people if he doesn’t let them back into the cockpit, this ordinary man faces an excruciating test.

The film also stars Omid Memar, Murathan Muslu, and Aylin Tezel. Patrick Vollrath has written and directed the film.

7500 arrives on Prime Video June 19.
