Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Delayed Again

Are we surprised with this news? Nope. Warner Bros have delayed Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet once again. Whilst parts of the UK maybe improving on figures, over the pond in the USA, things seem out of control. So it’s no surprise the 31st July revised date is now 12th August.

Warner Bros. is committed to bringing ‘Tenet’ to audiences in theaters, on the big screen, when exhibitors are ready and public health officials say it’s time,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement. “In this moment what we need to be is flexible, and we are not treating this as a traditional movie release. We are choosing to open the movie mid-week to allow audiences to discover the film in their own time, and we plan to play longer, over an extended play period far beyond the norm, to develop a very different yet successful release strategy.”

They have also announced that the 10th Anniversary re-release of Inception on 31st July has also been delayed.

The recent scenes of Bournemouth Beach yesterday on one of The UK’s warmest days, the threat of a second spike a high possibility. The lockdown easing could now be under threat especially when countries like Korea, Germany suffered recent spikes. Over in the states and New York the Phase 4 New York Gov. A lot of the big releases may get delayed even more if their main market USA can’t re-open. Even if cinemas do open , how many people will fell safe going back to those cinemas? This is a question many will ask here in the UK and around the world. At the moment we haven’t had a true insight into what we may expect if we do venture into our local screens. Will we wear masks as we now have to do on public transport?

I’m surprised no one has looked at how Japan and many other Asian countries which wearing a mask has been a way of life for a longtime before Coronavirus pandemic struck.

So is Mulan looks now going to be the first major blockbuster to open in our cinemas? The 24th July release is still on, then again that could change, as could Tenet again could be changed again. Will any head now to Premium Digital releases?
