You may ask “Am I reading this right, Kevin James plays a villain?“. Yes you have read it correctly, Kevin James plays a sadistic villain in indie home invasion film Becky…Need more evidence ? Check out the trailer below.
Quiver Distribution have released the official Trailer which James plays a Nazi ex-con. In what type of sleaze bag he’s playing a similar type of character Vince Vaughn played in Brawl In Cell Block 99. This will intrigue many people especially as this is the first time the actor has played a ‘villain’. Seeing the man who played Paul Blart Mall Cop and the Zookeeper playing a nasty piece of work.
Becky is directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, who directed the solid Bushwick. This one centres around a father and a rebellious daughter (Becky) who go on a weekend away to re-connect. Things turned upside down who their holiday home is invaded by runaway convicts.
Could this one be the launch platform for James, like Uncut Gems did for his buddy Adam Sandler?
Spunky and rebellious, Becky (Lulu Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house.
The film also stars Joel McHale, Lulu Wilson and Amanda Brugel.
The above Trailer is for the American distribution, so all release dates are U.S release only. Becky will be released on 5th June on Digital HD.
