If your wondering how intense The Invisible Man, watch the second and Final Trailer. In three weeks time Leigh Whannell‘s update of the classic Universal Monster will be in the UK and Irish Cinemas. Elisabeth Moss stars as Cecilia Kass who escapes from an abusive relationship. Only to find her ex-boyfriend (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) has committed suicide, however Cecilia suspects he’s not dead!
originally this film was going to be part of the Universal Dark Universe. That fell apart thanks to the dreadful The Mummy reboot with Tom Cruise. Now Whannell (Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3) is directing, the first showed promise. This new promo continues the momentum and ups the ante in suspense and very thematic. Highlighting the real life abuse women worldwide suffer, many going unseen or simply dismissed.
The one thing we don’t really like, is this trailer may just reveal a tad too much. What do you think?
Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).
But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
The Invisible Man will arrive in UK & Irish Cinemas from 28th February 2020. The film also stars Harriet Dyer, Aldis Hodge, and Storm Reid.
