Nothing Will Save Janelle Monáe In Antebellum First Trailer

Very rarely do film trailers live up to just teasing us, if anything they reveal too much. Lionsgate out of nowhere release the first trailer for Antebellum. Guess what it impressively teases us!

When it comes to promoting films we should only know the basics, like this is an Horror. A basic premise to twist our curiosities making us wanting us to come back for more. You could say this is sliding into JJ Abrams territory as in what what they give us.

What’s this film all about? Good question! Starring Janelle Monáe this film looks like will be set between American slavery era and US Civil Rights era. Is it a time travelling story or something psychological? It’s a film comes from some of the team that brought you Get Out and US. From this short Trailer this film certainly feels at home with Jordan Peele’s films!

ANTEBELLUM is a terrifying new thriller from the producer of the acclaimed films GET OUT and US, and groundbreaking directors Gerard Bush and Christoper Renz (Bush+Renz) – an exciting new voice in filmmaking.

The film will also star Marque Richardson II, Eric Lang, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.

Antebellum doesn’t have an confirmed UK or Irish release date apart from ‘Spring 2020’. The USA release date is 24th April 2020.
