Meet The Characters In Netflix’s Animation Klaus

Yes folks that dreaded word Christmas is only 7 weeks away. Everywhere is prepping for the festive season and so is Netflix with Klaus.

The film marks the streaming giants first foray into animation, under their ‘Netflix Originals‘ banner. The film promises to bring us an ‘origins’ story for Santa Claus. When postal academy’s worst student Jesper (Jason Schwartzman)  who is disgruntled. However things change for the good when he befriends the old toymaker who makes his own toys.

Before the film gets it’s release, Netflix have released  several New Featurettes. In these new promos we will meet Klaus, Jesper and Alva. The mysterious toy maker the student and the student’s teacher….

When Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones), and discovers Klaus (Oscar® winner J.K. Simmons), a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore and stockings hung by the chimney with care. KLAUS stars Jason Schwartzman, JK Simmons, Rashida Jones,Joan Cusack, Will Sasso and Norm Macdonald.

Netflix’s first animated feature film KLAUS, from the co-creator of Despicable Me, will launch in select UK cinemas on 8th November and globally on Netflix on 15th November.
