New Poster For A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood Released

Yesterday at London Film Festival Tom Hank’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood had it’s UK Premiere. Today Sony Pictures has released a new US Poster which has Hanks as Mr Rogers.

The film is around the magial world of Mister Rogers aka Fred Rogers (Hanks). he was  an all singing, all dancing, an American television personality. In the world of show business, he was considered an genuinely nice person. This film tells the story journalist Ton Junod, assigned to profile Fred Rogers. One that started with scepticism, ended up been a life lesson and start of an long lasting friendship.

You will also see in the poster is Matthew Rhys who plays journalist Tom Junod. Earlier today Freda Cooper posted her review of the film ( click on the link below to read her review). Highlighting Tom Hanks “Hanks, needless to say, is excellent as Rogers, twinkly, gentle and disguising his shrewd mind and talent for communication with that soft voice and homesy manner.”

Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his scepticism, learning about empathy, kindness, and decency from America’s most beloved neighbour.

The film also stars Susan Kelechi Watson Enrico, Colatoni,Susan Kelechi Watson,and Chris Cooper.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood will be in UK and Irish Cinemas from 6th December.
