Disney Studios have released the First Trailer for Jungle Cruise, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.
If it’s not live action remakes of their classic animation back catalogues, their films are based on Park Rides. After Tomorrowland, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of The Caribbean, Jungle Cruise joins the ever increasing list. It’s been a long time coming, the idea of the film has been around since 2006.
The trailer was first shown at Disney’s D23 Expo with Johnson himself releasing it officially through his Instagram account. On first impressions, we may be looking at the potential franchise to replace The Pirates Of Caribbean. This feels like The Mummy, even Romancing In The Stone and Blunt as our heroine.
The film sees wealthy researcher named Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) and her brother McGregor (Jack Whitehall) attempting to find the Tree Of Life. They hire steamboat captain (Johnson) take them into the dangerous waters of the Amazon River.
Slapstick, meta, interesting to see how they can expand the storyline outside the theme ride basics.They’ll be all out to make sure, this one won’t fall like previous theme park ride films…
