Starzplay ‘At Your Service’ With Pennyworth UK Trailer

Starzplay have announced the UK release date for the Batman spin-off series, Pennyworth. Next month the DC origins show will be released, today you can catch the UK version of the Trailer. The most famous ‘butler’ Alfred Pennyworth is at your service.

The series itself comes from the pen of Gotham creator Bruno Heller. Fans of that highly underrated show will have an idea of the style of show we can expect. If anything you could say this is a Gotham Spin-Off which chronicles the youthful days of Bruce Wayne’s mentor. who forms a security company and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne in 1960s London.

For years we’ve been teased by the legendary butler’s history. We’ve never seen it act on screen until now.

From Warner Horizon Scripted Television, the DC origin series Pennyworth follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon – The Imitation Game), a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge – “Our Girl,” “Reign,” “Fleabag”), who’s not yet become Bruce Wayne’s father.

In addition to Bannon and Aldridge, the series stars Emma Corrin (“The Crown”), Emma Paetz (“Gentleman Jack”), Hainsley Lloyd Bennett (“Eastenders”), Ryan Fletcher (“Outlander”), Dorothy Atkinson (“Hanna,” “Harlots,” “Call the Midwife”) and Jessica Ellerby (This time Away, “Lovesick”) with Paloma Faith (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) and Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

All 10 episodes of the highly-anticipated action-drama series Pennyworth in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Latin America on Friday, 25th October.
