The Beach Bum follows the outrageous misadventures of Moondog (Matthew McConaughey), a rebellious weed-smoking, beer-chugging burnout who lives life by his own rules in the Sunshine State. If Moondog can put down the bong and brews for one minute, he might just be able to put his poetic talent to good use and write the next great American novel. But with a rag-tag bunch of friends including R&B singer Lingerie (Snoop Dogg) and pyromaniac ex-addict Flicker (Zac Efron) plus some wild, neon-soaked parties, perhaps Moondog is doomed to a life of slumming it on the sandy beaches of Florida…

Complete with an all-star cast including Snoop Dogg (Starsky and Hutch), Isla Fisher (Nocturnal Animals), Zac Efron (Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile), Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street) and music legend Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Bum is a wildly original and subversive new comedy from the enfant terrible of American independent cinema Harmony Korine.

The Beach Bum in select UK and Irish cinemas from 25 October, then on digital download 30 October.
