Sunday Short Theatre – Winners (2018)

What if the biggest ‘asshole’ in the world won the lottery? Probably feel injustice maybe anger even if that A-Hole was in need of money. This week’s Sunday Short Theatre is Dan Bulla‘s Winners starring Veep star Tim Simon as our ‘asshole’. A dark comedy that promises to funny, harsh with very moral value, most of all a ‘piss-take
from start to finish.

We may dream of the world and what we would do if we won the big one. A lot of the time we stay the same person even with the good fortune. Winners is that film about our a-hole who continues be a jerk after scooping the jackpot. Even after he is saved, he continues to be the jerk despite acts of kindness. This film that makes you realize how horrible you are as a person when you laugh at people being jackasses. But can anyone truly be a better person after such a win? Sadly for him no, deserves nothing!

If the name Dan Bulla sounds familiar, he has worked on several of Adam Sandler‘s film projects, especially the Netflix ones. Yes everyone knows we’re not Mr Sandler’s biggest fans, this isn’t an Adam Sandler film. Bulla has produced and starred in the likes of The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler and Murder Mystery. Everyone deserves a chance.
