Naomie Harris On The Run In Black And Blue UK Trailer

Naomie Harris career has seen her do a lot of running, going back to the Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later. In Black And Blue she’s running again but not from the infected but her fellow cops.

Sony Pictures UK have sent us the UK version of the trailer. The sees Harris as Alicia, a rookie cop whilst on duty, her body cam captures a murder of a local dealer. The problem is those who committed the murder are her fellow cops. Whilst the corrupt cops attempt to cover their trail, forces the Alicia to go on the run.

Let’s be honest, this trailer gives away most of the film’s plot. That’s not saying Black And Blue won’t be a good film, just too much too soon. This film’s genre is quite hard to push without giving away vital points of the film. What we do like is British actress Naomie Harris getting a deserving solo lead role after years of supporting or co-lead roles.

A strong cast, some tense action and a film may highlight some social realism that plague society these days.

BLACK AND BLUE is a fast-paced action thriller about a rookie cop (Naomie Harris) who inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realising that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

Co-Starring Tyrese Gibson, Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, Nafessa Williams and James Moses Black. Deon Taylor (The Intruder, Traffick) directs this one.

Black And Blue will be released in UK,Irish and U.S Cinemas from 25th October.
