In Netflix’s The Politician They Promise You Everything, Watch Trailer

We promise to you, EVERYTHING“. After American Horror Story and American Crime Story Ryan Murphy dives into the murky world of politics with The Politician.

Netflix has released the Trailer for it’s next upcoming ‘Netflix Originals‘. Promising to deliver the attitude, wit and elitism of such shows as Glee, Cruel Intentions. Glee star Ben Platt leads the show as a wealthy student who has aspirations of becoming student president.

The series promises the dark comedic, satirical tone we expect from Ryan Murphy. Politics is a cutthroat world, full of false promises, shaking a lot of hands. Lots of stabbing peoples backs, fake smiles, ruthless attitudes. The series starts at the bottom with the final season him going for U.S President.

No hidden agenda that a lot of politicians both sides of the Atlantic being wealthy has gotten them far in politics. We do live in a world which Boris Johnson and Donald Trump are leaders. Will be interesting to see the reaction of this series tackling real life issues…

Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, has known since age seven that he’s going to be the President of the United States. But first he’ll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image. Full of dark comedy and sly satire, Ryan Murphy’s The Politician offers a rare glimpse into just what it takes to make a politician.

The Politician is a Netflix original comedy series from Creators/Executive Producers/Writers/Directors Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan. It  also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Rahne Jones, Theo Germaine, David Corenswet, Bob Balaban and Benjamin Barrett.

The first season consists of eight hour-long episodes and will launch on Netflix from 27th September.
