In Mary Trailer Gary Oldman And Emily Mortimer In Nautical Hell

Later this month Arrow Video FrightFest will host the world premiere of Mary starring Gary Oldman and Emily Mortimer. RLJE Films ahead of the premiere have unleashed  the film’s first (U.S) Trailer.

The tailer showcases the film is going old school haunted house style horror on the seas. Oldman playing a struggling captain who finds himself attracted to an old boat at a auction. But anything haunted everything goes on southbound a downward spiral. As hope turns to fear as frightening events doubt the family’s own sanity.

The film marks the cinematic return for Michael Goi. Goi previously directed Megan Is Missing, recent Swamp Thing TV Show and American Horror Story episodes. The Shallows writer Anthony Jaswinski has written the script for the film.

David (Academy Award Winner Gary Oldman) is a struggling blue-collar captain looking to make a better life for his family. Strangely drawn to an abandoned ship that is up for auction, David impulsively buys the boat, believing it will be his family’s ticket to happiness and prosperity. But soon after they embark on their maiden journey, strange and frightening events begin to terrorize David and his family, causing them to turn on one another and doubt their own sanity. With tensions high, the ship drifts off course, and it becomes horrifyingly clear that they are being lured to an even greater evil out at sea.

The film also stars Jennifer Esposito and Stefanie Scott.

Mary will make it’s premiere at Arrow Video FrightFest on 24th August (Buy Tickets}. We don’t have details on a UK release yet, we believe the film will get a UK Cinema release.
