Netflix has revealed the cast for their upcoming Shondaland produced ‘Netflix Originals‘ Series Bridgerton. The London set series will contain a slew of British and Irish actors.
Set in the Machiavellian world of London’s Regency high society. Before today’s news Mary Poppins herself, Julie Andrews was cast as the show’s Narrator as scathing Lady Whistledown. Joining will be Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page. Golda Rosheuvel, Jonathan Baile. Luke Newton, Claudia Jessie, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruth Gemmell and Adjoa Andoh. Alongside them will also be Nicola Coughlan and Polly Walker.

“We could not have found a more gifted group of actors to bring Bridgerton to life. When creating this series, the goal was to turn a very traditional genre on its head and make something fresh, smart, sexy and fun. That’s exactly what this cast embodies and I’m ridiculously excited to see them inhabit these characters and captivate viewers in their own incredibly brilliant ways.”

Netflix hasn’t confirmed an exact launch date for the series apart from 2020. When it does arrive. Bridgerton will come in the shape of eight 1 hour episodes.
