Feel The Love In New The Lion King TV Spot

Whilst some may question Disney’s policy to recreate their classic animation back catalogue, The Lion King New TV Spot reminds us why we love the original classic.

In 3 weeks time Jon Favreau 2019 version will be in cinemas next month and the latest promo gives us a taste of one of the original classic songs. We hear Donald Glover (Simba) duet with Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Nala)“Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”. The classic Elton John song he co-wrote with Tim Rice and off course sung by Elton! The promo is short but will bring a little tear to your eye as you hear James Earl Jones deliver his famous Mufasa in the clouds line…

Disney’s The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.

Disney’s The Lion King roars into UK and Irish cinemas on the 19th July 2019. Tuesday 25th June you can buy your advance tickets, and feel the love!
