Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Overtakes Infinity War As Biggest Superhero Film in The UK

It maybe over a week since Avengers: Endgame was released in the UK and Ireland, the box office is still burning. Marvel Entertainment UK has confirmed Endgame has taken over from Avengers: Infinity War as the biggest Superhero film in the UK. The film has taken £73.47 million at the box office so far making it the eighth biggest film in the UK and Irish box office. An achievement that took only 12 days and internationally taking in $2 billion! Second biggest global release ever after James Cameron’s Titanic. Read our First Review and Second Review.

Avatar Sequels Delayed Again, First Sequel Set For December 2021

Like or loathe them, James Cameron’s Avatar film set some extraordinary standards in film technology. It was a film an sequel was expected as it was the first film to hit $2 billion box office mark.It seems Avatar 2 has a new targeted release date, December 2021 12 years after the original film was released.

Originally Avatar 2 was set for 2014 release then things changed when sequels changed to two then four. Like many things, other things come into play delay things like the Disney-Fox merger. Production had apparently started with Cameron directing with Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, and Giovanni Ribisi all returning too.

It’s now looking like Avatar 3 will come in December 2023, Avatar 4 in December 2025, 5 in 2027 nearly 20 years after the original film. Not the one film every year as originally planned with Star Wars films coming in 2022, 2024 and 2026. source: Variety

IT: Chapter Two Trailer Expected Thursday

This September, we’ll ‘float’ again when IT: Chapter Two arrives in UK cinemas. If your eager to see the first trailer for the sequel, the wait is nearly over as the trailer is set to land online Thursday 9th May. Andy Muschietti‘s follow up film based on the Stephen King horror sees us return to Derry Town 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Penny wise the clown, they must return to the town as adults. Face Pennywise once again, when bad things start to happen to them again. The adult cast includes James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan , James Ransone, with Andy Bean, and Isaiah Mustafa.

Richard Madden in line For ‘Lead Role’ in Marvel’s The Eternals?

Game Of Thrones/Bodyguard star Richard Madden looks like he’s in line to possibly join the cast of Marvel’s The Eternals according to Variety. He’s currently in talks to join Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani as an unnamed character. It’s expected he will play a lead character with Karen, Hercules, Ikaris, nothing has been confirmed in Chloe Zhao’s film.

Jack Kirby created The Eternals when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered individuals as well as more villainous off-shoots known as the Deviants. Both races battle each other through time to become the ultimate race source:The Wrap


First Trailer For FX Legion Season 3 Reveals First Look At Charles Xavier

There’s no time like the present. Or the past. Or the future. The first trailer for Marvel’s Legion final Season (3) has arrived online revealing an iconic father figure to mutants worldwide, Charles Xavier. DOn’t expect James McAvoy or Patrick Stewart but Harry Lloyd (Game Of Thrones).He is David’s father (Dan Stevens), and David recruits a time-traveling mutant named Switch (Lauren Tsai) to help stop Syd (Rachel Keller) and Amahl Farouk (Navid Negahban) from killing him, a murder that already happened. Expect the usual antics loved in previous seasons and the clearest shouts towards X-Men Universe including an early version of Cerebro.

No confirmed UK release date on Fox UK, however the Trailer info did say 24th June on all FX Networks.
