Seeing Is Deceiving In The Act UK Trailer Starring Patricia Arquette, Joey King

True crime stories can be terrifying stories but fascinating engrossing sources for film and Television. Next month the critically acclaimed Hulu series The Act will in the UK. Starzplay will air the series and today they have released the UK version of the trailer.

The series stars Patricia Arquette, Joey King as Dee Dee Blanchard and her daughter Gypsy. When Gypsy attempts to escape a abusive relationship, her mother attempts to make her pretend she is dying, a move that would lead to her own death.

A gripping story that seems to be jaw dropping every time evidence is revealed. Gypsy and Dee are portrayed as best of friends, Dee Dee is over protective leaving you wondering if Gypsy is suffering from the mysterious illness. What made her want her mother dead? is it the over protection?

So many questions we’ll love to know the answer for. This looks a disturbing Wild Ride we cannot wait to see!

The Act follows Gypsy Blanchard (King), a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother Dee Dee (Arquette). Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets – one that ultimately leads to murder.

The show also stars Academy Award® winner Patricia Arquette, Joey King, Chloë Sevigny and AnnaSophia Robb and is based on the 2016 BuzzFeed article “Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom Murdered” by Michelle Dean.

The critically acclaimed true-crime anthology series The Act, coming exclusively to the premium streaming service on Friday 14th June in the UK via Prime Video Channels and Virgin Media. The series is also been aired in Germany via Prime Video Channels, and in Spain via Vodafone and Orange TV.
