Is Robert Pattinson Set To Play Bruce Wayne In Matt Reeves The Batman?

It’s been a long time since Twilight  ended and Robert Pattinson has done wonders to prove he can actually act. His film choices could be regarded as ‘intelligent choices’ , now  could be ready to play Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves The Batman?

Reports from Variety are stating the British actor is ready to step up to play the Caped Crusader. After the critical and box office success of Christopher Nolan films, the standards for future film have been set high. Ben Affleck provided an older ‘Dark Knight’ in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Sadly both those film wrong in many ways which saw Affleck step down when Matt Reeves stepped into direct.

Affleck’s choice was never accepted by some sections of fans and Reeves upcoming film was originally with Affleck in mind. However it seems Warner Bros. want a ‘younger Barman’, hence Pattinson as potentially that man they want.

Reeves film entitled The Batman is set to be a Noir-Driven film which will be in a way a reboot of sorts. It won’t be connected to the DC Extended Universe and like Todd Phillips The Joker will be a separate story. Now if both work critically, now how awesome would both Reeves Batman and Phillips Joker make a film together?!

It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, as it seems negotiations is still working away. However it seems principal photography is set to start in the Summer, so expect cast to be announced soon.

You can see Robert Pattinson in Claire Denis High Life current out in the UK. After that will be Robert Eggers The Lighthouse, with Netflix‘s Waiting for the Barbarians.

The Batman is set for an June 2021 release.
