In Netflix’s Rim Of The World Trailer Saving the World is Child’s Play

Saving the world maybe ‘alien’ to them, it will be ‘child’s play’ Netflix has released the Trailer for Rim Of The World.

The ‘Netflix Original’ film is directed by McG (The Babysitter), which Four misfit campers must band together and conquer their fears in order to save the world during an alien invasion.

The alien invasion adventure feels inspired by everything from The Goonies, Stranger Things, Attack The Block even Independence Day . The film may tease those waiting for Stranger Things Season 3. There is a fun element but it’s playing off the ‘coming off age’ film rule book, with adding other genres for a new twist.

McG as the film director has been one big roller coaster ride with film fans loving his films more than critics. Terminator Salvation was loathed, more recently his TV work has been more favourable like Lethal Weapon. Netflix Original films and shows do give those films makers much aligned a chance to prove they can still direct solid features…

Four misfit campers must band together and conquer their fears in order to save the world during an alien invasion. Summer camp at Rim of the World has barely begun when four misfit teenagers — Alex, ZhenZhen, Dariush, and Gabriel — find they’ve got bigger problems to face than learning how to canoe and climb ropes when aliens suddenly invade the planet. Alone in a campground once teeming with people, the kids are unexpectedly entrusted with a key that carries the secret to stopping the invasion. Without any adults or electronics to help guide the way, it’s clear what they must do: band together, conquer their fears, and save the world. An epic action-adventure directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels).

The film stars Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr., Alessio Scalzotto and Andrew Bachelor.

Rim Of The World will launch globally on Netflix on 24th May 2019.
