Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw New Trailer Is Insanely Fun

It was probably the bromance of the decade when Hobbs and Shaw made their acquaintance in Fast & Furious. With that franchise now taking a back burner before the final two films that brotherly love has it’s own film…Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.

Back in February we got treated to the first Trailer, today Universal Pictures are treating us to an early Easter present, Second Trailer! The first promo teased us that this was no fluffy bunny rabbit of a film, the second Trailer let’s us know its going to be an insanely fun film!

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reunite as our titular characters as they track down Brixton (Idris Elba)our cyber-genetically enhanced villain. A walking threat to humanity that will test the brawn and patience of our testosterone fuelled heroes who must unite to beat the only guy badder than them…

Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America’s Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Fast & Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down.

But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

Hobbs & Shaw blasts open a new door in the Fast universe as it hurtles action across the globe, from Los Angeles to London and from the toxic wasteland of Chernobyl to the lush beauty of Samoa.

The film also stars Helen Mirren, Cliff Curtis, Vanessa Kirby, Eiza Gonzalez, Eddie Marsan and WWE star Roman Reigns in first major role.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas August 2nd 2019 (The U.S release same day).
