Dwayne Johnson set the standard for Wrestlers come actor wannabes. Dave Bautista‘s career on the big screen has been big but not in the same direction as The Rock, that maybe changing with My Spy.
After recently making a surprising return to the WWE after a so called fallout. His latest film he meets his match, not a testosterone fellow wrestler but a Nine year old!
My Spy, Bautista plays a CIA Agent who goes undercover to surveil the family of 9-year-old Sophie (Chloe Coleman). Sophie herself blows his cover after finding hidden camera in her home. He’s now at her mercy and learns her the art of spying if he doesn’t she will blow his cover.
Bautista is following in the steps of Johnson proving he’s who can work with kids as much as the action and drama. It’s obvious this one is for the younger audience and its also not delivering anything we haven’t seen before. It’s also been a winning formula for some films as well. Maybe this one too?
A hardened CIA operative (Dave Bautista) finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl (Chloe Coleman), having been sent undercover to surveil her family.
The film also stars Ken Jeong, Kristen Schaal, and Parisa Fitz-Henley. The film is directed by Peter Segal (Get Smart, Second Act).
My Spy release date for the UK and Ireland hasn’t been confirmed yet, still saying ‘Coming Soon’.
