‘Rotten Romans’! Horrible Histories The Movie Gets First Trailer!

Next week will be National Book Day (7th March), what better time to launch the First Trailer for one of the most popular books, Horrible Histories. This Summer Romans and Celts clash when Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans arrives in a cinema near you.

Led by rising stars Sebastian Croft as Roman teenager Atti and Emilia Jones as his Celtic rival Orla. Atti might have the brains but very little brawn and is forced to join the Roman Legion finds himself captured by Orla on the eve of an historic battle.

The Trailer might be short but sweet, it does tease the classic humour that made the books and TV Show so popular. If you love the franchise you’ll adore this one!

Atti (Croft) is a Roman teenager with brains but very little brawn. When one of his schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero (Roberts) Atti is forced to join the army and sent to miserable, cold, wet Britain. Things go from bad to worse when Atti is captured by Orla (Jones), a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove herself as a warrior. Meanwhile a furious Nero is determined to crush the British rebellion, led by Boudicca (Nash). As the Romans prepare for an historic showdown with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street the two new friends find themselves lined up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Starring Horrible Histories alumni Sarah Hadland, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Lamb, Jessica Ransom, Tom Stourton, Dominique Moore, Richard David-Caine, Lawry Lewin, Katy Wix, Katherine Jakeways. Rounding out the cast is a host of brilliant comic talent including Nick Frost, Craig Roberts, Kim Cattrall, Kate Nash, Rupert Graves, Alex Macqueen Sir Derek Jacobi.
