Armistead Maupin’s classic novels Tales Of The City originally released in 1993 as a tv show is making a return on Netflix! The original show starred Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis and 26 years on the pair will be returning to 28 Barbary Lane.
They will be joined by fresh new faces in the popular LGBTQ Dramedy including Ellen Page, Paul Gross, Jen Richards, Daniela Vega (Fantastic Woman), May Hong and Garcia to name a few.
Ahead of this Summer’s release of the Netflix Original Limited Series, the streaming giants have released the first look images. All showcasing the new young queer residents as well as a few familiar ones too.

Inspired by the books of Armistead Maupin, Netflix Original Limited Series Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City begins a new chapter in the beloved story. Mary Ann (Laura Linney) returns to present-day San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter Shawna (Ellen Page) and ex-husband Brian (Paul Gross), twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career. Fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture-perfect Connecticut life created, Mary Ann is quickly drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), her chosen family and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane. Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City is a Working Title Television and NBCUniversal International studios production for Netflix.
