Taron Egerton Is In The Stars With New Rocketman Trailer

This weekend all talk in film will be on The Oscars, will Rami Malek or Bohemian Rhapsody win? Malek’s Freddie Mercury looks a certainty, Dexter Fletcher‘s  next musical biopic Rocketman has a new UK Trailer.

Taron Egerton is a young Elton John and in the new second Promo, he’s in the stars. Don’t expect your standard musical biopic, this is a ‘musicial fantasy’. What expect is Taron Egerton singing unlike Malek who lip synced.

If you love the musical icon’s work you’ll probably love this and the early that made his the icon he is today. Egerton is no stranger to John’s back catalogue as he sung on the 2016 animated film Sing as a pig singing I’m Still Standing’. In the recent Featurette Egerton proved he has the vocal capabilities , will the fans enjoy the edgy, colourful trippy feel to the film?

Based on a true fantasy, ROCKETMAN is an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. The film follows the fantastical journey of transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John.

This inspirational story – set to Elton John’s most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton – tells the universally relatable story of how a small-town boy became one of the most iconic figures in pop culture. ROCKETMAN also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.

Rocketman will be in UK and Irish Cinemas from 24th May 2019 (31st May in the USA). Co-Starring Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Gemma Jones, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
