Lords Of Chaos UK Trailer Rory Culkin Gets ‘Fiery’

The Lords Are Coming! Ahead of its Cinematic release next month Arrow Films has released the UK Trailer for Lords Of Chaos. Rory Culkin gets ‘fiery’ in the story of the ‘true birth of Norwegian Black Metal.

Jonas Åkerlund is no stranger to metal and the Black Metal music genre as he was once a member of Bathory. His roots maybe firmly in the genre but you wouldn’t think he was the director for ‘Telephone Call’ Lady Gaga video. His most recent film was Polar the Mads Mikkelsen John Wick Wannabe actioner on Netflix. His next one has been making noise since its Sundance Film Festival world premiere in 2018, now its time for its long over due cinematic release.

The film tells tells the controversial but fascinating story of Mayhem, the band seen as the pioneers of Black Metal music in Norway. These young guys you could say were more ‘death metal’ as they garnered a reputation by burning churches and even murder in Oslo.

Oslo, 1987: Seventeen-year-old Euronymous (Rory Culkin) is determined to escape his idyllic Scandinavian hometown and create “true Norwegian black metal” with his band, MAYHEM. He’s joined by equally fanatical youths – Dead (Jack Kilmer) and Varg (Emory Cohen). Believing that they’re on the cusp of a musical revolution, the group gets even darker driven by the black metal dogma to spread evil.

They begin burning down churches throughout the countryside and stealing tombstones for their record store. But when the press catches up with them and Euronymous takes more credit than he’s earned for the group’s violent acts, Varg, fresh out of jail, arranges a dark encounter to settle the score and ultimately determine who the darkest black metal musician is…

Lords Of Chaos will be released in the UK and Irish Cinemas from 29th March. Before then  you can catch the film at 2019 Arrow Video FrightFest Glasgow, when it will play on 28th February [More Info/Book Tickets].
