In The Hustle Trailer Anne Hathaway And Rebel Wilson Are ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’

Nearly two years after it was made The Hustle is finally getting a cinematic release. Today Universal Pictures has released the First Trailer for the upcoming crime comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. These ladies are no ordinary ladies…They are Dirty Rotten Scoundrels!

Yes folks this is a remake or should I say a remake of remake. Based on the 1988 Frank Oz film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (remake of Bedtime Story from 1964 with Marlon Brando and David Niven) which originally starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin. Now a gender role reversal originally to be called Nasty Women which could open a can of worms to some unsavoury thinking. Our leading ladies are scam artists of very different class, when the pair decide to pair up. To right the wrong men have done to them, but our high class artist must learn her lower class rival a few tricks, can the pair stay best of buddies?

This looks a solid like for like remake of the 1988 film. Hathaway and Wilson seem to have believable strong chemistry which should help the film succeed on potential laughs. Ghostbusters, Ocean’s 8 and soon also What Men Want are gender reversal films. Original Two were successful critical hits, two more hoping to follow suit, can they? Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is regarded as a cult hit, now its time for these girls to prove they have it too.

In the hilarious new comedy THE HUSTLE, Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson star as female scam artists, one low rent and the other high class, who team up to take down the dirty rotten men who have wronged them.

The Hustle also stars Tim Blake Nelson, Alex Sharp and Dean Norris. The film will arrive in UK, Irish and American Cinemas from 10th May 2019.
