In Netflix’s Triple Frontier Trailer Money Is The Mission

What do you call Bruce Wayne, Poe Dameron, King Arthur,Pablo Escobar and Hook? Triple Frontier!

Ahead of next month’s release Netflix has released the official Trailer for J.C Chandor‘s upcoming action thriller, Money is the mission. Signed for that mission are Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal.

A group of ex-special forces ops attempt an heist in a dangerous mission South America. Not in the name of their country but for themselves, pushing them to the brink. Can they survive when they know now they can’t go back to their normal lives?

This film has been in development hell for a long time with Kathryn Bigelow originally signed up to direct. Tom Hanks,Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum and Mahershala Ali were reported to have signed up for the cast. We won’t really know why that version fell through or why the Streaming giants now have the rights. Interesting choice of director, be curious to see his take on an genre but a film with star power.

This  Trailer does dive head first into the film’s plot details as well as a glimpse of the characters motivations. Film feels very stripped down in story telling sense, how well this film will do will be tricky.

A group of former Special Forces operatives (Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal) reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for self instead of country. But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties and their morals are pushed to a breaking point in an epic battle for survival. Directed by Academy Award® nominee J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, All Is Lost, A Most Violent Year) and co-written by Chandor and Academy Award® winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty).

Triple Frontier launches globally on Netflix on 13th March, 2019.
