You would think think being one of the most influential women in the world you would attract many eligible bachelors. In Long Shot Charlize Theron is that woman but would you think she would fall for someone you once babysit?
Lionsgate Films have released the film’s First Trailer as unlikely love match as cupid brings together a Presidential candidate with an unemployed journalist (Seth Rogen). The pair spark an chemistry and a round the world romance.
The film is directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies, The Wackness) with another Rogen Regular Adam Goldberg gives you an idea whats going on here. It’s a rom com, but one with more R-Rated laughs than sweet ones. The film does have a lot of heart and soul with crude laughs which Rogen feels at home, not so much Theron. So it will be curious to see her step outside her comfort zone with a different type of humour.
Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron) is one of the most influential women in the world. Smart, sophisticated, and accomplished, she’s a powerhouse diplomat with a talent for…well, mostly everything. Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) is a gifted and free spirited journalist with a self-destructive streak. The two have nothing in common, except that she was his baby sitter and first crush. When Fred unexpectedly reunites with Charlotte, he charms her with his self-deprecating humor and his memories of her youthful idealism. As she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, Charlotte impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter, much to the dismay of her trusted advisors.
A fish out of water on Charlotte’s elite team, Fred is unprepared for her glamourous and high stakes lifestyle. However, sparks fly as their unmistakable chemistry leads to a round-the-world romance that becomes embroiled in a series of dangerous and outlandish incidents.
The film also also features O’Shea Jackson Jr., Andy Serkis, June Diane Raphael (The Disaster Artist), Ravi Patel, Bob Ordenkirk and Alexander Skarsgård.
