The countdown to Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel coming to a cinema screen is getting closer. The toughest question you will have is, what format should I watch the film?
IMAX will be hoping you will choose them, as her intergalactic adventure been specifically made specially formatted for IMAX cinemas. This means key sequences will be presented with up to 26% more picture on the biggest screen (vs. the standard picture in standard cinemas).
As the new releases get bigger the viewers want how they experience that film to change as well. IMAX are doing their best to lead with crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customised cinema geometry and powerful digital audio. Thus creating a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

Yesterday Marvel Studios also released a ‘Special Look’ Trailer which was released in the U.S. The promo does seem to reveal new footage. The highlight will be the tease of a Skrull Shapeshifting which will excite MCU fans. Many fans are desperate to see what part of Avengers: Endgame (if any) Captain Marvel, will she defeat Thanos?
Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the centre of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct, whom the pair made their names with independent films such as Mississippi Grind, Half Nelson and Sugar. Starring Brie Larsson as Marvel, Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Clark Gregg, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and Mckenna Grace.
Captain Marvel will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 8th March 2019.
