Jake Gyllenhaal Will Kill For Art In Netflix’x Velvet Buzzsaw Trailer

Art to die for and if your Jake Gyllenhaal, he will kill to get his mucky paws on the latest piece of art. Netflix has launched the Trailer for their upcoming Horror Thriller Velvet Buzzsaw.

The film marks the Nightcrawler reunion with Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo once again working with director Tony Gilroy. The film is a satirical look on the Los Angeles contemporary art scene. When big money artists and Mega collectors will pay anything to get their hands on the latest buzz piece. Gyllenhaal plays an ostentatious art critic who becomes targeted by killer art! Yes, folks, you read it correctly!

This looks a surreal, crazy, insane film that reaks the spirit of some of those Brian Yuzna Films. Will it have a Society, Reanimator films we don’t know yet. It certainly feels like a metaphorical film with plenty of symbolism. The tone does feel more like Nightcrawler though this film could be like films like The Square.
Our minds are going at tenfold on attempting to try to guess what this film is all about. We won’t have to wait long as the film is set for its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival. Excited, oh yes!

Velvet Buzzsaw is a satirical thriller set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles, where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce.

The film also stars Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, Natalia Dyer, Daveed Diggs, Billy Magnussen, and John Malkovich star in the new mind-bending film written and directed by Dan Gilroy.

Velvet Buzzsaw launches globally on Netflix and in select UK cinemas from February 1st, 2019
